Stanley R. K. Ahorlu is a maritime lawyer and an entrepreneur with over 25 years’ experience in shipping in West Africa. He has successfully deployed his rich experience in commercial law practice, ship ownership and operations, chartering and maritime project finance to create and retain value.
Mr. Ahorlu is the Chairman of Ahorlu Marine Holdings and is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Prime Meridian Docks Ghana Limited, a company offering world-class ship repair in the port of Takoradi, Ghana. His other shipping interests include a joint venture with Noble Drilling, Amitlaw Shipbrokers Limited, a company that pioneered chartering of offshore support vessels to Tullow Oil Ghana Limited, and African Independent Feeder Limited, a company that offered short-sea connections to more than eight ports in West Africa using feeder vessels.
He is the current president of the Ghana Chamber of Shipping, a leading trade association and think tank in the maritime space in Ghana that is committed to ensuring that the interests of its members and stakeholders within the maritime industry are protected.
