
Nana is a maritime governance and maritime law professional with over two decades of experience across policy, regulation, and international maritime cooperation. He currently serves as Country Lead for Ocean Centres–Ghana, convening industry, government, and partners to embed safety and sustainability across ocean industries through practical, locally led solutions.
A graduate of the World Maritime University (WMU), Nana previously held senior leadership roles within the Ghana Maritime Authority, working across maritime services, compliance, and institutional coordination. Between 2015 and 2025, he coordinated Ghana’s National Maritime Security Committee, supporting inter-agency alignment on maritime security priorities and responses. He also led Ghana’s ratification and domestication of several key maritime instruments, strengthening national frameworks for safety, labour standards, and responsible maritime development.
Nana led Ghana’s successful audits under the IMO Member State Audit Scheme (IMSAS) and the STCW Convention, reinforcing confidence in Ghana’s maritime administration and seafarer certification systems. He was called to the Ghana Bar in October 2025.
