Ebenezer Ghanney has several years of experience in the fintech space. He is an experienced FX trader who has generated significant revenue and cost savings for clients over the years, successfully executing trades in excess of USD 2 billion from 2021 to date.
He has led the growth of WeWire in Ghana and driven its expansion into other markets, including Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, the UAE, the USA, and Canada. Prior to launching WeWire, Ebenezer served as Country Operations Manager at Yellow Card Ghana, where he built the retail business to over 150,000 users and achieved more than USD 20 million in transaction volume within the first year of operations. Before Yellow Card, he worked at Liquid Financial, leading business development initiatives, user experience testing, and customer acquisition.
Between 2017 and 2021, he founded two startups, which are now defunct. The lessons learned from these ventures played a key role in shaping WeWire’s strategy and foundation.
